FAQ for Recreational

    Q: What are the regular office hours for the office?
    A: Regular office hours are: Monday - Friday 10:00 - 5:30.

    Q: If we are new to the gym, how will you know which level to put my child?
    A: We will assessed your child's ability and put him/her in the appropriate level.

    Q: If I have a question or concerne what I should do?
    A: You can talk directly to the coach or if you wish to speak to the Rec. Coordinator, ask to speak to Alex Delange, or call (604)-985-7918. We appreciate feedback!

    Q: Does my child have to wear a gymnastics suit?
    A: Female gymnasts are required ti wear a body suit. They can also wear stretchy shorts if they like. Male gymnasts are required to wear a tight fitting tank top or the Flicka tank top and stretchy shorts. Long hair must be tied back in a pony tail or braid. No jewelry or watches, please! Leave valuables at home! Bare feet please! Unless you have Plantar warts or Athlete's Foot - in that case, you must wear gym slippers.

    Recommendations for the parents from the recreational coaches staff.     

  • Safety is an important aspect of gymnastics activities.    
  • No playing on the equipment outside of class time!    
  • Also, please make sure that children who are not in the class are not playing on the gym floor or equipment. We want everyone to be safe!    
  • Going to the washroom - buddy system.

    FAQ for Competitional

        Q: What level my doughter or son will be?
        A: You will find out in october. Sometimes a child will move to a different level later in the year, as is learning new skills. Coaches have final decisions.

        Q: When are the competitions?
        A: Tentative schedule it will be posted by christmas and sent to you by email if you provide one.

        Q: If a I need a new uniform, who I contact?
        A: You can send a email at admin@flickagymclub.com or phone the office at (604)-985-7918.

        Q: What is expected from parents?
        A: We expect help from parents to fundraise funds for different projects. Volunteer hours in runing competitions, display, etc. See volunteer program.

        Q: How can I bring my concerns to the coaches?
        A: Email us at competitive_coaches@flickagymclub.com or phone the office for an appointment.

        Q: How can I bring my concerns to the Board of Directors?
        A: Email us at board@flickagymclub.com or phone the office for an appointment with the liaison board member.

        Q: Does my doughter or son need to train in the summer?
        A: Yes. This is the time to learn new skills that they need to move to the next level. It's mandatory for level 1 - 4 and National.
