GIRLS SCHOOL AGED CLASSES

The new recreational gymnastics “school aged” curriculum has a large focus on quality and progression to ensure your child remains as safe and as involved as possible while in the gym. This also allows the opportunity for them to progress or transfer into a more performance based program in the future, should they choose to do that.

How does the new “school age” recreational gymnastics program work?

  • Gymnasts will progress through 11 levels each depicted by a colour: Aqua, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, bronze, silver, gold, platinum (see descriptions below).

  • Each colour has about 25 gymnastics elements for your child to master.

  • In most cases, at the end of each session your child will move to the next colour.

  • The colour Aqua is especially for our 5 year old boys and girls and includes 3 mini levels within so that the children still feel as though they are progressing throughout the YEAR. If your 5 year old has previously been in a Girls ½ class and will NOT turn 6 within the session dates, they will be required to book into the 5 year old class. The new structure of the Aqua class (with the three mini levels) will still ensure the child is being challenged.

How do I register?

  • For children who are 5 years old please register in the Aqua class

  • For children who will be in colours red, orange, yellow, green (see descriptions below) please register in a boys or girls "beginner class" time slot that suits you and we will group children by age and colour to the best of our ability

  • For children who will be in levels blue/purple (see descriptions below) please register in a boys or girls "intermediate class" time slot that suits you and we will group children by age and colour to the best of our ability

  • For children who will be in levels bronze/silver/gold/platinum (see descriptions below) please register in a boys or girls "advanced class" time slot that suits you and we will group children by age and colour to the best of our ability

When do I register?

  • There are 3 sessions throughout the year:

    • Fall Session: September through December

    • Winter Session: January through to Mid-March

    • Spring Session: April through June

  • Registration for fall is to be announced

  • Pricing is per session

Will my child receive a report card at the end of the session?

  • Your child will not be receiving a report card like the ones previously given

  • On Conclusion of each session your child will receive a certificate showing how well they completed each skill.
